GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES

Efnaferli ehf. or Icelandic Process Development Inc. (IPD) is a technology and engineering company, active in research, process technology and the development of green and sustainable manufacturing industries in a conjunction and with the integration of renewable energy sources, wherever possible.  IPD has been issued a patent for a process technlogy method for the production of second generation alcohols and bio-glycols. Here IPD is focusing on by-products from bio-diesel industries(glycerin) where those are to be utilized and converted into several valuable chemical commodity products. It is the intention of IPD to implement their technologies in projects both in Iceland and elsewhere in the world.  IPD is also working on projects to utilize by-products from the fishing industry, the recycling and restoring of diverse chemical products, operates a recovery plant for light-boiling solvents and is working on sustainable technologies in general. IPD also designs and manufactures skid mounted and package unit systems for the above mentioned technologies.
